Another Lye Clean-up

Posted: September 20, 2022 by tidystourbridge in Litter

Another brilliant job on Sunday 18th September by our team of 11 –  Dave & Dawn, Dave W, Rachael, Helen, Tony, Ivor, Jan, Roger and new recruits Arthur & Elaine (on temporary loan from another litter picking group who arrived at Kinver by boat) plus Henry (Jan’s dog).

It was a good job we had a strong team out as Lye was very bad as usual and also very satisfying as it was our first pick of our Autumn/Winter schedule.

We covered Bott Lane, Engine Lane, Lye Station steps and a bit of Jackson St – photos below show the full extend of our work which included, 25 black bags of rubbish, reclaiming 6 traffic cones, a load of wood, 2 gas bottles, a large window, a fly-tipped set of ceramic toilets, a syringe and empty packets of pain-killer tablets. Also please see below photos of fly-tipping in Jackson St Car Park that we weren’t able to collect that, Dudley MBC will be informed. Extra thanks to Ivor for picking up Arthur & Elaine from Kinver.

PS the next few litter picks are:- October – Sunday 2nd Collis St DY8 4EE, Sunday 16th Brythill Drive Brierley Hill DY5 3LU, and Sunday 30th Mill Race Lane DY8 1JN
