Todays Litter Picking Volunteers were as follows:

David Colley, Garry, Roger, Sophie, Colin, Tony, Dawn, Dave, Pat, Andy, Paul Giles,    Allun, Rachael.

We split up into two groups today in order to target two areas.

We ( my group ) had not travelled very far before we ended up just off the canal path in a clearing through the hedgerow. A have to say that a few of us commented that up to this point the hedgerows were a treat to look at. Forget Me Knots, May Flower, other assorted wild flowers – a real joy to see.

However, it was a different story once out of sight. Clothing, shoes, rolled up nappy’s, bottles, cans, metal detector, crisp packets, garden planters, carpet tiles, many jars with lids on individually tied up in plastic bags each one was heavy. Strange. Builders Large bags.

David Colley ( Taking the photograph) and the above were with the second group. As you can see they found a settee. and they had a total of 8 bags of rubbish.
