Sunday 6th March. 10.00am The Hadcroft Inn, Grange Lane, Stourbridge, DY9 7DX.
It was a much colder day than we had all anticipated to start with but it was not too long before we started to warm up. The morning was cold, damp and squelchy underfoot. We split up and went are own separate ways in order to cover as much as we could given the time available.
David started by just clearing the area around the car park.
What we were aware of this time was the increased amount of dog fouling, ( not in the area around the pub I must mention. )
We engaged in conversation with several members of the public. A lovely elderly lady offered to help but as it was Mothers Day / Mothering Sunday it seemed a shame to drag her off as she would have been off to lunch later. But the gesture was appreciated. One very kind gentleman at the end offered to take it all to the tip for us. How charming was that.
It was the usual small sweet wrappers, plastic bottles, drink cans, snack containers, glass bottles.
+ DOG POO. Plenty.
We were 10 volunteers in total. 19 Bags of rubbish in 90 minutes.
Next Venue and Date: Sunday 20th March. 10.00am start: Pedmore Lane/ Gauden Road Junction, Wollescote. DY9 0TD
